Aktunchen a Mayan name that means "natural well inside a cave" is located at 25 minutes from Playa del Carmen in the heart of the Riviera Maya, 4 km south of Akumal and 16km before Tulum.One of the park main activities is a walk inside a 640 ys long dry cave, where a specia- lized guide will tell you all about cave´s formation.
This unique cave wiht a large example of stalactites and stalagmites has incredible formations sculptured by time... At the end of the walk you will find a beatiful crystal clear natural well.
Our canopy (zip line) is the perfect mix between adventure and nature, experience flying throughout a kilometer in our incredible 10 lines canopy and 2 suspended bridges. You can also refresh yourself and enjoy a magical experience snorkelling in a 5 million years old underground crystal clear natural well!
The park counts with a 6 acres area wildlife zoo where local flora and fauna are preserved.  Our main objective is to present Quintana Roo´s natural attractions with a firm conviction of preserving the natural state of the area, for that reason this project pretends the reproduction and repopulation of more than 15 local species, some of them on the way to extinction.
Canopy.
Come and live a unique view of the tropical jungle from above, enjoy the sounds of an aerial experience flying throughout one km. in our incredible 10 canopy lines and 2 suspended bridges.
All canopy platforms and inclinations are designed so that any person no matter experience or age can enjoy the flight. Contemplate plants and incredible flowers like orchids and bromelias.

Caves.
One of the park activities is a spectacular cave of more than 5 million years old with a great variety of stalactites, stalagmites and columns.
This cave is more than 640 yards long, has magnificent vaults, discreet illumination and fixed ways for a comfortable walk, without risking the natural state of the grotto, inside the cave you will also be able to appreciate a beautiful crystal clear water cenote of 12 mts depth.
During this route you will have a specialized guide who will explain you how caverns are formed, as well as the use and relation that Mayan civilization had with caves.

Wildlife
Aktunchen counts with an incredible natural zoo, a unique project in Quintana Roo´s area due to its wide variety of local species.
At this 6 acres area of wildlife zoo you will find: white tail deer, wild Collared Peccary, parrots, toucans, oco pheasants, agoutis, sereques, coati mundi, night mico as well as an attractive serpentarium of the regions serpents.
-This project is focused in the reproduction and repopulation of the local species.
-The wildlife zoo is included with the cave activity.
